Dance West Network‘s?Call for Dance and Performance Projects for Youth in BC, beyond the Lower Mainland.
This Call is an opportunity to support dance and performance projects that engage with youth and/or young emerging artists who self-identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) and/or LGBTQ2S+ (Lesbian, Gay, Trans, Queer, 2-Spirit, gender-nonconforming, plus) and/or are youth who experience disability.
DWN are looking for dance and performance projects outside of the Lower Mainland of BC, especially projects located in rural/remote areas of the province. They look forward to learning more and helping to develop a variety of projects that you feel are most needed to support our youth and young people.
Each application will be supported with some level of mentorship, and they will work with a number of the proposed projects more intensively to prepare them for a public sharing – live and online – via Simon Fraser University Woodward’s Cultural Programs in October 2022.
