APPLY HERE!

Culture Days Canada are pleased to announce they are now accepting applications for the 2022 BC Culture Days Ambassador Program. Please note, it is priority to engage artists from underserved communities, such as, Racialized and/or People of colour, Deaf, Disability, Mad, and? 2SLGBTQQIA+ artists. Given the provincial scope of work, they also aim to prioritize regional artists and organizations in rural or remote areas.

Up to ten successful applicants from across the province will receive artist fees and a production budget totalling $2,000 to present an activity as part of “Earth Endeavours,” an ambassador series of interactive, community-engaged projects to be showcased during Culture Days. They will also participate in a 3-6 month mentorship with an established artist starting in May, and act as a Culture Days media spokesperson.

?Culture Days has played a large role in accelerating my career in filmmaking this year. It offered me a launchpad to start a new project idea and establish the necessary connections to turn the idea into a reality.? – Carter Kirilenko, 2021 Ambassador“Not many people can say that they?ve had the privilege to work with one of their artistic role models, and I am pinching myself for being able to experience that at 23 years old.” – Valeria Ascolese, 2021 Ambassador?(in reference to her mentorship with Guillermo Verdecchia)

?Being an ambassador for BC Culture Days has pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and to try things that I?ve never done before. It has helped me develop, not only as an artist, but as a person, and I have learned new ways to connect with my community to promote arts and creativity.? – Jeni Chen,? 2021 Ambassador?
