The Courtenay and District Museum has produced a new exhibit which highlights wedding dresses from the 19th and 20th centuries.
“Dressed for the Occasion” features more than fifteen gowns, a kimono, a button blanket, invitations, wedding gifts and more. It showcases items from the museum collection from local families like Pidcock, Lloyd, Dingwall, Robertson and Cliffe.
This gorgeous, silk and lace-laden exhibit is on display now until August 26, 2023.
The Courtenay and District Museum is located at 207 Fourth Street in downtown Courtenay and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is by donation.
