About this piece
I am very attuned to the salmon cycle, having had the unique experience of living in the Heiltsuk community of Bella Bella several years ago. The piece celebrates both the beginning and end of the cycle of death and rebirth, in the salmon streams of the British Columbian coast.

Widely travelled, I have recently made Campbell River my home. I learned the art of painting on silk during the Great Northern Art Show in Inuvik and have made it my primary medium for the past twenty years. Nature is my favorite subject and colour is my passion.
