About this piece
The discovery of hundreds of graves at Residential Schools in BC and other provinces was shocking and upsetting. This has brought a renewal of interest in our First Nations people’s and forced many Canadians to better understand the reconciliation efforts currently underway. This painting represents the shattered lives that many families have experienced.

I work primarily in acrylics and oils on canvas or wood. I like to create a composition that will catch the viewer’s interest right away and then use artistic techniques to move the viewer’s eye around the piece.
