$10KIM JUNE JOHNSON is an award-winning singer-songwriter and poet living on the unceded territory of the Komoks First Nations. Her fifth recording project, “Songs For a Quiet Day” is a collection of small poem-songs praising quiet things, and will be released in the spring. Her poems and short essays have appeared in Room, Prairie Fire, TNQ, Best Canadian Poetry, FOLKLIFE and elsewhere. She hosts an online writing community called “Cozy Sunday Write-Ins” and lives in a draughty house beside a creek with her teen daughter and an assortment of animals.
