CV/Arts is a common name for the nonprofit Society Comox Valley Arts. CV/Arts provides access to arts and cultural resources to everyone of all ages and backgrounds, and our mission is to champion the artistic vitality of the Comox Valley, BC.

For business analytics and payment subscription records for Comox Valley Arts, we use a paid membership Pro plugin.

We use Stripe for payment transactions processing for all Comox Valley Arts membership payments. Stripe’s privacy policy is found here.

To comply with accounting and legal requirements, we keep data on financial transactions in the systems above for a minimum of 7 years.

Who we share your data with

The security and reliability of our service is our number one priority. We invest in the training of our staff and our infrastructure to ensure that best practices are followed in everything that we do.

WordPress is the platform chosen to build our website and the details on the security of the WordPress core itself can found on 

Prevention is best when it comes to security, and as a first step, we follow all WordPress Code Standards in the plugins that we use.

In addition, we have an extensive array of professional plugins installed on the website to monitor and prevent potential security vulnerabilities in our services.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site (paying members), you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
