YQQ + CVA Arts & Culture Program
YQQ + CVA Arts and Culture Program is an adjudicated exhibition that takes place in the winter and spring at the Comox Airport. The call for submissions is announced in the Fall and the show is up through early Spring. This program is a partnership between Comox Valley Arts and The Comox Airport (YQQ).
2024 – 2025 REGENERATION
In partnership with the Comox Valley Airport, we are excited to announce the opening of Regeneration, a new exhibit featured in the annual juried YQQ + CV/A Arts and Culture Program.
The selection of 30 regional artists and 38 artworks resulted from a careful curatorial adjudication process aiming to create a cohesive thematic show and highlight the achievement of individual works. Exhibition Details:
- November 2, 2024 – April 30, 2025.
- Free and open to the public daily, 4:00 AM – Midnight.
- Opening Event: November 14, 6:00 PM at the Comox Valley Airport.
Theme:
Regeneration embodies the essence of renewal, transformation, and resurgence in a multitude of contexts. This theme encourages artists to explore regeneration beyond the natural world—delving into personal and collective renewal, creative innovation, and the reimagining of materials and ideas. It’s about embracing the transformative power of change and the exciting potential that arises from it.
