Michael Penny was born in Australia, but his family moved him to Canada when he was young. Since then, he has published five books, most recently, ‘Particles’ and ‘Outside. Inside’, both with McGill-Queen’s University Press. His work has appeared in many literary magazines including Fiddlehead, The Antigonish Review, The Amsterdam Review, Acumen, The Malahat Review, and The Salzburg Review. He lives on Bowen Island, and, once upon a time was a lawyer.
