Learning Lounge Fun on a Beautiful Friday

The Art Wagon as a Micro Gallery

What an afternoon. The CVAG Plaza transformed into a cozy outdoor living room — couches and all, thanks to Habitat for Humanity — as community gathered for our Pop-Up Listening Lounge featuring Ancestral Echoes, the multigenerational podcast between MIKI’SIW Métis Elders and youth, recorded in the Comox Valley Arts Digital Creation Hub.

MIKI’SIW Métis Association warmed us with soup and bannock, conversations flowed easily, and inside the Art Wagon, the photographs were appreciated by passers by who popped in to take in our tiny micro exhibition.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners: digFM, MIKI’SIW Métis Association, the Comox Valley Art Gallery, and Scott Bertram, whose stunning renovation of the Art Wagon’s interior gave the photos the gallery space they deserved.

Ancestral Echoes is funded by New Horizons for Seniors.
