For curious kids who love to create

CV/Arts youth programs are designed to give young people meaningful opportunities to make, explore, question, and experience art. Our programs prioritize creativity over perfection, encouraging young artists to experiment with materials, develop their own ideas, and build confidence through creative risk-taking.

We believe young people should have opportunities to see themselves, their communities, and the world around them reflected in the arts. Through hands-on artmaking, connections with contemporary and diverse artists, gallery and studio experiences, and opportunities for youth voice and leadership, CV/Arts aims to make the arts accessible, welcoming, and relevant to young people. Our programs create space for curiosity, connection, and creative expression while supporting young people as artists, thinkers, and active members of their communities.

Fall Programs

After School Art Studio

The After School Art Studio is a creative program for young artists ages 8–11, designed around experimentation, curiosity, and creative exploration. Over one eight-week session, participants will explore contemporary artists, try new materials and techniques, and develop their own creative ideas through hands-on artmaking, gallery visits, and studio experiences.

The program will offer two weekly groups – families can choose between Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the program start date are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made 7 days or less before the program start date are not eligible for a refund, but will receive a credit toward a future CV/Arts learning programs.

Summer Programs

Art Summer Camp

This summer, young artists explored art through a wide range of themes, materials, and creative approaches. Campers experimented with art and the land, play and materials, photography and film, storytelling, animation, and seeing the world from different perspectives. They made forest-based films, created stop-motion animations and clay creatures, experimented with shadow and string painting, built collaborative murals, filled sketchbooks, and developed layered mixed-media artworks.

Our camps are designed to give kids space to experiment, follow their ideas, try something new, and discover what they can make. Every camp looks a little different, but creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and the freedom to explore are at the heart of all of them.
