Check Your Pulse: June Recap — K’omoks Fusion Festival

What a way to kick off summer! The K’omoks Fusion Festival brought out an amazing crowd, and the energy across the site was contagious from start to finish. If you were there, thank you for being part of it — if you missed it, here’s what you need to know (and what’s coming next).

A Festival to Remember

Turnout exceeded expectations, filling the site with music, art, food, and community spirit. The event even caught the attention of local media, with coverage from the Discourse helping spread the word about what’s happening in the Comox Valley arts scene.

And let’s talk about the food — hands down one of the highlights of the day. QICS brought their Salmon BBQ, and it was such a hit that we’re already asking them back for the next event.

Behind the Scenes

None of this happens without an incredible team of volunteers and staff. From site logistics to vendor coordination, the people working quietly behind the scenes are what make these events feel seamless. We’re continuing to build out our volunteer roles to make sure every part of the festival — right down to garbage detail — has dedicated support.
