The Courtenay and District Museum will be hosting a miniature sculpting/painting workshop on Saturday, May 25th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm to celebrate the completion of the new exhibit, Models & Miniatures.  Anyone 10 and up is welcome to drop in the museum’s Rotary Gallery and sculpt, bake, then paint their very own custom fridge magnets to take home.

This is a free drop-in event with some painting involved, so arrive ready to get a little bit messy! Our volunteer enthusiast, Josh, will be on hand to guide the group and assist with any difficulties, and materials will be provided to accommodate 1 magnet per person while supplies last.

This latest exhibit explores the themes of scale and how we gain new perspectives through different sizes. Check out the hands-on table, take part in an I-Spy matching game, and see what the museum’s collection has to offer for all things big and small.
