Weaving Stories, led by multidisciplinary artist Ameet Gill, was a collaborative textile project exploring identity, memory, and cultural storytelling. Drawing inspiration from her Punjabi heritage and the traditions of the K’ómoks First Nation, Ameet invited community members and local artists to engage in story-sharing, material experimentation, and co-creation in her studio space. The project honored intergenerational knowledge and cultural preservation while fostering dialogue, creativity, and connection. Participants’ work was presented in a culminating exhibition from October 17–19 at Studio 4Two5, celebrating both ancestral wisdom and contemporary expression.
