M/other Zine by Cleo Butcher revives a collaborative, feminist publication originally born in Winnipeg, now reimagined for the Comox Valley. Rooted in community care and creative expression, this project invites contributions from those who parent, nurture, and hold space for others—regardless of gender identity or family structure.
Through a hands-on workshop and open submissions, Cleo and co-facilitator Emily Blezard guided participants in exploring personal stories, poetry, collage, and art that reflected the lived realities of caregiving—its beauty, challenges, and invisibility. The workshop was held at the Adult Lifelong Learning Centre which houses a Zine Library https://www.cvllc.ca/zine-library.
