Comox Valley Art Gallery: New Exhibit: HELD SPACE
December 21, 2023 – January 13, 2024
HELD SPACE will run at CVAG from December 6 – January 13 as part of the new convergent program Upholding One Another. Held Space is a sanctuary for learning from one another shoulder to shoulder and hand to hand through art — hand work, installation, performance, lens-based work, words, and text — as a way of fostering strength, empowerment, and advocacy.
Held Space will feature arts-based installations, conversations, and interactive engagement by Gwen Monnet, Dr. Evelyn Voyageur, Diana McKenzie, Comox Valley Transition Society, Indigenous Women’s Sharing Society, Lil’ Red Dress Project, Noojim Owin Kwe, and more.
