Layering Colours for Luminosity: A Watercolour Class with Alora Griffin
April 13 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$100
Date: Sunday, April 13, 1 to 5 pm
Location: The Lion’s Den, Comox
Level: Intermediate – participants should be familiar with colour theory and mixing.
Cost: $100 per person
Students will learn how to layer transparent watercolour paints to achieve a luminous effect on paper, much like layers of stained glass. The instructor will illustrate the technique which the students will try out in the first half of the class. In the second half of the class, students will create a painting of a simple landscape or seascape by layering colours. Students can work from their own photo or print although prints will be provided.
